City of Bothell recruiting for boards and commissions

Citizens are invited to apply for various board and commission positions. The application period for these positions closes at 5 p.m. Feb. 11. Applications are available online or at the City Clerk’s office, Bothell City Hall, 18305 101st Ave. N.E. The office may be reached at (425) 486-3256.

Appointments to the positions will take effect April 1. Interviews before the City Council are tentatively scheduled March 8, with appointments tentatively scheduled for March 15.

Positions are available on the following boards and commissions:

• Civil Service Commission:

• Landmark Preservation Board

• Library Board

• Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

• Parks and Recreation Board

• Planning Commission

• Shorelines Board

Boards and commissions serve as advisory groups to the City Council and have the responsibility to study issues in depth to present reports and recommendations to the council.
