City of Bothell seeking service members for 4th of July Parade

The city of Bothell is seeking people who currently serve or have served in Iraq and Afghanistan to be honored in the 4th of July Parade. The theme for this year’s parade is “Protecting Our Freedom: Recognizing Those Who Serve.”

If you or someone you know from Bothell has or is serving in either Iraq or Afghanistan, forward name, rank, branch of service and deployment area to Pat Parkhurst of Bothell Parks and Recreation at pat.parkhurst@ci.bothell.wa.us. Bothell’s annual Freedom Festival is a popular tradition and includes not only the Grand Parade through downtown Bothell, but also a parade for children and a pancake breakfast. More information about Freedom Festival will be available on the city’s Web site in the coming weeks.
