Community invited to participate in Police Citizen’s Academy in Kenmore

Kenmore, Shoreline and Woodinville Police Departments and the King County Sheriff’s Office are sponsoring a Citizen’s Academy from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays from March 13 through May 15 at Kenmore City Hall.

Kenmore, Shoreline and Woodinville Police Departments and the King County Sheriff’s Office are sponsoring a Citizen’s Academy from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays from March 13 through May 15 at Kenmore City Hall.

The academy is a great way to gain a better understanding of police work and resources available to the public. The 10-week course covers a variety of topics, including: Defensive tactics, K9, major accident investigations, homicide and major crimes, Automatic Fingerprint Identification System, Guardian One helicopter and Marine Patrol. This unique class is offered at no-cost to Kenmore residents and those who work in Kenmore. Registration and approval of submitted applications are required in advance. Applications are available online or at Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave. N.E.
