Bothell’s Northshore Baptist Church and Redmond’s Overlake Christian Church will hold the second annual Community Serve Day this Saturday.

In all, 19 churches and community groups will work together to:

• Assist families who need help repairing their homes

• Help teachers set up their classrooms for the fall

• Improve under-resourced schools with painting and landscaping

On the Northshore, events will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Moorlands Elementary (15115 84th Ave. N.E., Kenmore) and 1-5 p.m. at Lockwood Elementary (24118 Lockwood Road, Bothell).

Nonprofit help agencies Hopelink and Vision House will also benefit from Saturday’s help.
