The city of Bothell will host a “First Timer Workshop” on Oct. 30 for homeowners and business owners considering their first remodel or tenant improvement.

The city of Bothell will host a “First Timer Workshop” on Oct. 30 for homeowners and business owners considering their first remodel or tenant improvement.

The workshop is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. at the Bothell Police Department Community Room, located at 18404 101st Ave NE. Refreshments will be served.

The workshop will focus on providing answers to frequently asked questions related to the permitting and inspection processes. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with senior staff and ask questions directly related to their planned project, such as:

• When is a permit required?

• Is a design professional necessary?

• What is the difference between a major and a minor tenant improvement?

• How long will it take to obtain a permit?

• What inspections will I need?

• What resources are available to help me with my project?
