Daniels Real Estate to host St. Edward Seminary open house

Daniels Real Estate is partnering with the Kenmore Heritage Association, the Association of King County Historical Organizations and the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation to hold a community open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at St. Edward Seminary.

Last month, Daniels was selected by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission to lead the restoration and reuse of the seminary, converting it to the Lodge at St. Edward.

There will be 30-minute tours starting at 10:15 a.m. to showcase the basement, a classroom on the first floor, second-floor dorm rooms, the library and chapel. The dining hall and kitchen will be open for viewing at any time.

At 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., representatives from Daniels will provide a brief presentation about the reuse project and answer questions. Light refreshments will be provided during this family-friendly event. Service dogs are allowed.

In its current condition, the building is not ADA accessible and there are no elevators. The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation has created a short video that shows the tour route and rooms to be visited.
