Daytime work on North Creek Interceptor set for Monday

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, King County contractors will work on 20th Avenue Southeast, north of 220th Street Southeast in Bothell to remove dewatering wells.

There will be short-term lane revisions intermittently and flaggers will direct motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians around the work. During the week, crews will also work on the west side of 20th Avenue Southeast, which is currently closed.

In addition, between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. beginning May 22, crews will work overnight on 20th Avenue Southeast. This work is expected to continue Monday through Thursday nights for several weeks. Night work was selected to minimize disturbances to daytime traffic flow.

While this work is being done, people can expect traffic to be reduced to one lane as flaggers allow traffic to pass in each direction and drivers should expect short delays. Motorists may want to consider alternate routes including 220th Street Southeast.

Driveways to businesses near this work will remain open.
