Delisle wins Berklee scholarship

Inglemoor High’s Ronan Delisle is one of three Seattle-area teens who have won full scholarships to attend Berklee College of Music’s Five-Week Summer Performance Program for high-school students, July 13-Aug. 14 in Boston.

Delisle recently competed in the Redmond Old Fire House Teen Center’s Classic Rockathon as a member of the band Manic Highway. Visit www.myspace.com/manichighway.

Berklee, the world’s leading college of contemporary music, is collaborating with Experience Music Project in Seattle to identify talented and deserving teens.

At the Five-Week Summer Performance Program, Delisle, along with Aaron Liao from Seattle and Austin DeVries from Edmonds, will be among 900 high-school students from all over the world who will sharpen their playing or singing skills in private lessons, ensembles and concert performances of jazz, rock, funk, songwriting, music synthesis and music business, among other choices.

Delisle is a guitarist who participated in Experience: The Band, a partnership between Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame and Berklee’s City Music Network.
