Donations start arriving to honor Bothell’s Brenden Foster

Food drive held in honor of Bothell youngster lost to leukemia.

Drivers and shoppers began dropping off items early Nov. 19 for what has become the annual food drive in honor of Bothell youngster Brenden Foster.

Only 11, Brenden lost a fight with leukemia in 2008, but spent his last days promoting help for the hungry.

The drive runs until 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at two Fred Meyer locations, including the Bothell Fred Meyer on Bothell-Everett Highway. The other location is at 6100 Eastlake Sammamish Parkway S.E. in Issaquah.

The drives benefit Food Lifeline.
