Driver crashes the Taco Bell fiesta in Bothell

One man gave a new meaning to drive-through service at a Bothell Taco Bell last night. At about 8:25 p.m. at the Canyon Park eatery in the 23200 block of State Route 527, the adult driver of a BMW attempted to park in front, but accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes and rammed through the front glass window, according to Capt. Denise Langford of the Bothell Police Department.

One man gave a new meaning to drive-through service at a Bothell Taco Bell last night.

At about 8:25 p.m. at the Canyon Park eatery in the 23200 block of State Route 527, the adult driver of a BMW attempted to park in front, but accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes and rammed through the front glass window, according to Capt. Denise Langford of the Bothell Police Department.

“Luckily, no one was injured,” said Langford, noting that the driver was examined at the scene and released.

Langford said that one female customer was eating at a nearby table and didn’t have to move to avoid the crash. “She actually stayed there and continued eating,” Langford added.

Bothell police were on the scene, as well as firefighters, who conducted a structure check and determined it to be sound.
