King County and Snohomish County Elections released another round of results Thursday afternoon for the general election, and the Bothell, Kenmore and Northshore School Board numbers are as follows:

KENMORE CITY COUNCIL

Position No. 2

Laurie Sperry led with 2,193 votes to Diane Brennan’s 1,305 votes.

Sperry said: “I think the election results confirm what I discovered from walking around different Kenmore neighborhoods. Most of the people I met were happy about the positive changes they were seeing in Kenmore and excited about moving forward as a city.

“I am grateful for the support of the voters and for the many volunteers who helped with the campaign,” she added. “I appreciate the opportunity to continue serving the community of Kenmore and am looking forward to completing the highway improvements, finishing our new ‘main street’ and revitalizing our downtown center.”

Position No. 4

Bob Hensel, running unopposed, 2,260 votes.

Position No. 6

Allan Van Ness led with 2,057 votes to Patrick O’Brien’s 1,581 votes.

Van Ness spent election night with his wife, Barbara, and close personal friends.

“I want to thank the citizens of Kenmore for their support and vote. At the time of this e-mail (8:54 a.m. Wednesday), only 21 percent of the ballots have been totaled, but I am pleased with the result so far,” he said.

“I especially want to thank the volunteers who assisted with the campaign in many ways. Countless hours were spent on campaign literature, delivering it to almost every household in Kenmore, and the placing and maintenance of campaign signs. The results of my election are due in large measure to their efforts. I cannot thank them enough,” he added.
