“Giving local community members a voice on our internal committees helps us continue to serve our patients above and beyond expectations,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte. “It’s the dedication of our community that sets us apart.”

Community advisors attend nine educational sessions throughout the year focusing on health care issues impacting the community and EvergreenHealth services that address those issues. Additionally, they serve on internal EvergreenHealth committees, such as the Ethics and Board Quality committees, and as ambassadors, representing EvergreenHealth at community events. Candidates must submit their applications prior to Nov. 6, 2015.

Board-appointed volunteers serve three-year terms commencing in January, with the option to renew after each three-year term. Community advisors may serve up to nine years. Qualifications include community involvement, professional or volunteer experience, strong communication skills and an interest in health care delivery.  Advisors must be residents of the EvergreenHealth District, which encompasses Bothell, Duvall, Kenmore, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish and Woodinville.
