Filmmaker to present ‘When Seattle Invented the Future’ tonight in Bothell

Renowned local filmmaker John Gordon Hill will be screening his documentary "When Seattle Invented the Future" at 6:30 p.m. tonight for free at the Chateau Bothell Landing Bistro, 17543 102nd Ave. N.E. The documentary is about the anniversary of the 1962 World's Fair and the impact of the fair on Seattle. It was aired originally on PBS.

Hill will be joined by Knute Berger, who is a resident historian for the Space Needle and will read from and sign his book about the monument. Don Jacobsen, the foreman of the union that plastered the top of the Space Needle in 1962, will also be on hand.

Following the movie at 7:30 p.m., there will be a Q and A until 8:30 p.m.  A dessert buffet will be served.
