Living Water Fellowship will hold the grand opening of its Isaiah 58 Ministry Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 21. It is located on the corner of 73rd Avenue Northeast and Northeast Bothell Way.
The first phase of Isaiah 58 ministry launched in July 2007 with an open food bank held from 10 a.m. to noon the second Saturday of every month. The food bank is supported by friends and family of the congregation, and receives monthly bread and other bakery items from Entenmann’s Bread Company. Kenmore Grocery Outlet offers a discount to Living Water Fellowship, which Isaiah 58 Ministries uses to buy fresh eggs, butter and other perishables the day before the food bank is open.
According to Outreach Pastor Debbie George: “Our vision for Isaiah 58 is to be a refuge and safe haven for all who enter and to continue to expand with special weekly programs, job skill training and other events as the areas of interest and needs become known in these next several months. We want each and every person to know that they are valued. Beyond helping with basic needs, of food and clothing, we want to share with our community our most valuable asset — our time.”
The Isaiah 58 Ministry Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and will continue to offer the food bank on the second Saturday each month.
