Foster Youth Independence will be celebrating the grand opening of its first thrift store at 10 a.m. Oct. 3. Northwest Thrift Store is located in Inglewood Village at 14130 Juanita Drive N.E., Suite 108B, in Kenmore.

The grand-opening celebration will feature hourly door prizes, free popcorn and great deals on gently used items.

Foster Youth Independence is a nonprofit charity dedicated to providing college scholarships to foster youths that have aged out of the state’s system. It is designed to help provide a college education to a foster child.
