Gathering to focus on St. Edward State Park historical interpretive signs Sept. 9

Friends of St. Edward State Park will host a free community event to celebrate the newly created and placed historical interpretive signs at the park from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 9 in the grand dining hall of the seminary building, 14445 Juanita Drive N.E., Kenmore. A brief program at 10:30 a.m. will include remarks from the dean of St. James Cathedral, The Reverend Michael G. Ryan, a graduate of the seminary; Betty Watson, designer of the signs; and Jo Ann Evans from the Kenmore Heritage Society, who researched and contributed text. Some state and local elected officials will be present. Refreshments will be served.
