I-405 reduced to one lane south of Bothell overnight this weekend

Nighttime drivers on Interstate 405 near Kirkland and north Bellevue should plan for possible delays overnight Friday and Saturday.

Nighttime drivers on Interstate 405 near Kirkland should plan for possible delays overnight Friday and Saturday. Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation plan to reduce the roadway to a single lane and close nearby ramps to complete paving and restriping work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

Friday, Sept. 19 to the morning of Saturday, Sept. 20

  • Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 124th Street and Northeast 160th Street will close starting at 8 p.m. Two lanes will close at 9 p.m., and three lanes will close at midnight. All lanes will reopen by 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
  • The Northeast 128th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from midnight to 6 a.m.

Saturday, Sept. 20 to the morning of Sunday, Sept. 21

  • Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 124th Street and Northeast 160th Street will close starting at 7 p.m. Two lanes will close at 8 p.m., and three lanes will close at midnight. One lane will reopen by 8:30 a.m., and all lanes will reopen by 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
  • The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 160th Street will close from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
