Inglemoor High journalists earn awards at national convention

The Inglemoor High Nordic News staff attended the Journalism Education Association and National Scholastic Press Association (JEA/NSPA) Spring National High School Journalism Convention April 12-15 at the Seattle Convention Center and came home with eight awards:

The Inglemoor High Nordic News staff attended the Journalism Education Association and National Scholastic Press Association  (JEA/NSPA) Spring National High School Journalism Convention April 12-15 at the Seattle Convention Center and came home with eight awards:

• The Nordic placed 10th in best in show

• Hy Khong received a superior in advertising

• Claire Campbell received a superior in review writing

• Kyle Hancher received a superior in editorial cartooning

• Evan Patrick received an excellent in sports writing

• Austin Wright-Pettibone received an honorable mention in news writing

• Hannah Aspnes received an honorable mention in computer art illustration

• Shannon Barnes received an honorable mention in yearbook copy and captions
