Investigation continues in Bothell shooting

Police Public Information Officer Capt. Denise Langford said investigators have no significant updates in their investigation of a rare Bothell shooting that took place Nov. 4.

Langford said detectives assigned to the case are developing leads off interviews with possible witnesses, however they have not yet identified a suspect.

Langford added officials are hopeful they will gain more information when the victim is healthy enough to speak with police.

Very little information about that victim has been released, only that he is a male, age 24. In previous statements, Langford indicated detectives do not think the shooting was random.

Police initially responded to the 21600 block of 11th Court Southeast, in the Snohomish County portion of Bothell, for a reported shooting at approximately 7:25 p.m. The victim was located inside a townhome at that location. He later was taken to Harborview Medical Center for potential life-threatening injuries.

Langford did not know when the last time Bothell had suffered a shooting and has maintained that serious crimes in the city are fairly rare.
