Jason Greenspan becomes Bothell’s new community development director

Greenspan brings over 25 years of experience in planning and community development to Bothell.

Jason Greenspan, who has over 25 years of experience in planning and community development on local and regional levels, has become Bothell’s new community development director.

Greenspan most recently served as the Manager of Sustainable and Resilient Development for the Southern California Association of Governments, which is a Los Angeles based metropolitan planning organization that covers six counties.

“I want to create a supportive environment where community stakeholders have real and varied opportunities to participate in the planning process,” said Greenspan. “Having open and frequent dialogue about our future can help achieve a comprehensive vision for the City that people can really relate to.”

Part of Greenspan’s experience includes acting as the Director of Planning and Community Development for Middletown Township, New Jersey. One of his roles with the city of Bothell will be guiding city staff and leadership in updating the Imagine Bothell Comprehensive Plan, which is updated every 10 years and assists with achieving a shared vision for future growth and development.

“On behalf of the Bothell Executive Leadership Team, I am thrilled to have Jason joining our organization,” said Kyle Stannert, city manager. “He comes with a wealth of experience and will be a great asset to us as Bothell continues to grow and evolve.”
