Just DO-IT: Bothell residents participating in summer study program

Angela Maccarrone and Rosa’Lea Berube from Bothell have been selected to participate in the DO-IT Scholars Summer Study program now through July 30.

More than 50 college-bound high-school students with disabilities will come together on the University of Washington campus for the program. DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking and Technology) is funded by the state of Washington, the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education. Other donors include the Boeing Company, Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Labor.

New DO-IT Scholars will spend 10 days living on campus, participating in an intensive program designed to promote college and career success. The students will learn about challenging careers in fields such as technology, science, engineering and mathematics.
