Kenmore Heritage Society to hold community outreach event Oct. 8

The Kenmore Heritage Society, a nonprofit organization founded in 1998, will hold an information outreach to the community from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8 near the front of the Kenmore Safeway (6850 N.E. Bothell Way). Recently, the Kenmore City Council authorized the group to be the official distributor of the Kenmore city flag.

The Kenmore Heritage Society, a nonprofit organization founded in 1998, will hold an information outreach to the community from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8 near the front of the Kenmore Safeway (6850 N.E. Bothell Way).

Recently, the Kenmore City Council authorized the group to be the official distributor of the Kenmore city flag.

On Oct. 8, the group will have membership applications, brochures on Logboom Park, CDs on the history of the city flag, the state and national award-winning book “Kenmore by the Lake” and a short history of Kenmore, written for elementary students, by Jack Crawford, Kenmore’s first mayor.
