Kenmore Library Advisory Board seeks new members

The Kenmore City Council is seeking dedicated Kenmore citizens interested in serving on the Kenmore Library Advisory Board.

The Kenmore City Council is seeking dedicated Kenmore citizens interested in serving on the Kenmore Library Advisory Board. The Kenmore Library Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees of the King County Library System and to the local library officials. The Library Advisory Board also reports to the Kenmore City Council, as deemed necessary. The City seeks applicants for several board positions and one Young Adult board position.

The Library Advisory Board consists of eight voting members, one of whom is a young adult member. The members serve a three-year term, except for the young adult member who serves a one-year term. All members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of a majority of the Kenmore City Council. Board members serve without compensation. The Library Advisory Board will hold regular and special meetings as may be necessary to complete its responsibilities.

Positions are open to all citizens residing within Kenmore city limits. Applicants with a variety of skills, interests and experience are encouraged to apply. To be considered for appointment, please complete an application form and submit to the City Clerk at the City Hall address. Application forms are available from City Hall, PO Box 82607, 18120 68th Ave. NE, Kenmore, WA 98028 or from the city’s website www.kenmorewa.gov.

Completed application forms will be accepted until Oct. 31.
