Katie Walvatne, daughter of Sara Walvatne of Kenmore, received a $2,000 Shaun and Darcie Wolfe Family Scholarship Endowment Fund for the 2013-2014 academic year at Western Washington University.

The endowment funds scholarships for students with financial need in Western’s College of Business and Economics. Recipient must be in good academic standing in accordance with CBE guidelines; shall be asked to articulate how in addition to their major in the CBE, their second focused area of study and significant work experience will benefit her career goals.

Walvatne graduated from Inglemoor High School in 2010.

She is scheduled to graduate from Western in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Management.
