Kenmore Sheriff’s Blotter: Lying to officers, thefts and fireworks

Between Dec. 29 and Jan. 4, three thefts (including identity theft and fraud) occurred along two burglaries, four cases of driving without a valid license, three cases of obstructing an officer, one case of forgery and one fireworks violation.

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of all calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The King County Sheriff’s Office blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kenmore.

 

Between Dec. 29 and Jan. 4, three thefts (including identity theft and fraud) occurred along two burglaries, four cases of driving without a valid license, three cases of obstructing an officer, one case of forgery and one fireworks violation.

 

Dec. 29

A driving with a suspended license citation was issued on Northeast Bothell Way.

Someone was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and obstructing an officer after they were pulled over for riding a bike without a helmet, and providing a false name to officers.

 

Dec. 30

A man was driving with a suspended Tennessee license and was issued a citation. His passenger was arrested on unspecified warrants. A credit card was also confiscated from the male driver.

A forged check was used to purchase supplies from Plywood Supply.

An outboard motor was stolen from a motor boat trailer after a security cable was cut with a bolt cutter in the 6700 block of Northeast 175 Street.

A driver was arrested after he was pulled over for speeding in the 6700 block of Northeast 181 Street. Police allege the suspect was also driving without a valid license, committed an ignition interlock violation and gave officers a false name. The driver was arrested for obstructing an officer.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle after the victim left it in the front seat while parked at Toshi’s Teriyaki. The victim’s window was broken.

 

Dec. 31

Ski gear was stolen from a garage in the 8400 block of Northeast 145 Street.

A woman was reported to be screaming inside a bathroom at the 6100 Northeast Bothell Way Jack in the Box, a medical emergency was reported.

Jewelry and an electronic device were stolen from a residence in the 7700 block of Northeast 201 Place.

An officer on patrol around 10 p.m. in the 19200 block of 73 Avenue Northeast heard fireworks going off, located the house and confiscated the fireworks and issued a citation.

 

Jan. 2

A woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license, and issued a citation for not having a license with her in the 7700 block of Northeast Bothell Way.

 

Dec. 3

A woman was stopped for driving with defective equipment in near Northeast 170 Street and Juanita Drive and was found to be driving with a suspended license. She was cited and released.

 

Dec. 4

A vehicle was stolen from the Sammamish Apartments parking lot overnight.
