Kenmore skate park opening, ground broken on new apartment, healthcare complex

Construction begins today in downtown Kenmore apartment complex and business space.

Two large Kenmore development projects reach key milestones this week with a groundbreaking ceremony for an apartment and healthcare complex Wednesday, and a skate park opening Saturday.

The apartment and healthcare development will house 94 apartments and lofts, with 20,000 square feet for a healthcare facility operated by EvergreenHealth.

It will be located at 6750 Northeast 181st Street.

On Saturday, the new Jack V. Crawford Skate Court will be opening with performances by two local skate teams.

The roughly 5,000 square feet park was constructed for around $350,000 and will feature a skate bowl and quarter pipe.

It’s grand opening is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Kenmore City Hall 18120 68th Avenue Northeast.

First district congresswoman Suzan DelBene and Kenmore Mayor David Baker will speak at the event.
