The city of Kenmore will host a workshop “For the love of Kenmore,” from 6-9 p.m. on April 7 at City Hall.

The workshop will be led by internationally recognized author and community engagement expert Peter Kageyama.

Here is how the workshop is described: “Most of us know what to do and who to call when we see a pothole in the road, but many of us don’t know where to begin or how to ask for things like beauty, good design, art, creating a sense of place, and bringing people together.Peter Kageyama, the author of For the Love of Cities and ‘Love Where You Live,’ is an expert in community and economic development. During the workshop, Kageyama will lead us through discussions and activities aimed at harnessing what we love about Kenmore into tangible action and results that will produce more citizen engagement, ownership, and emotional attachment with our city.

A volunteer fair will accompany the workshop from 4-6 p.m., where participants can discover volunteer opportunities and organizations in the area.
