The following is a release from Snohomish County:

Kerri Lonergan-Dreke and Brian Davern have been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau (SCTB) for three-year terms, effective Oct. 1.

“I am looking forward to working with Kerri again,” said SCTB Executive Director Amy Spain. “She provided such great vision to our board during her last term.  Her marketing acumen and knowledge of government relations will certainly help us evaluate current and future tourism programming.  I have not yet had the pleasure of working with Brian, but his operational experience of working with festivals and events combined with his education will bring a new perspective to the board discussions.”

Kerri Lonergan-Dreke is an owner and manager of Lombardi’s Italian Restaurant in Everett and brings to the board 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry with expertise in financial management, marketing, human resources and operations. Previously on the SCTB Board 2003–2009, she left to successfully run for a four-year term as a Lynnwood City Council member; there she gained experience in public relations and government operations. She is also currently a trustee of Providence Hospice and Homecare and a board member of the Northshore School Foundation.

Davern has been a recreation coordinator for the city of Mill Creek for the past eight years and last year received its Employee of the Year Award. A board member of the Mill Creek Business Association (MCBA), he works with local businesses to develop events, create sponsorships and generate economic growth throughout the community. He has been involved in tourism since graduating from Central Washington University with a B.S. degree in Recreation and Tourism in 2007. He is also a member of Washington Parks and Recreation Association and Relay for Life.
