Teenage angst, hope, anger, joy, pain. It’s on display for all to see at an art show celebrating the talent and creativity of students from regional high schools and colleges. The juried show, Keys to the Studio, opened with a reception on April 9 and runs through April 27 at Cascadia Community College in Bothell.

The show was curated by Cascadia faculty member, Chris Gildow, who worked with art instructors at regional high schools and colleges to identify 45 pieces of exceptional art created by students.

“Like any artist, these students struggle to give visual expression to their ideas,” says Gildow. “This show honors the work of teenagers and young adults, and recognizes the contributions they make to the collective voice of art.”

In addition to pieces from student artists at Cascadia Community College, the following high schools and colleges are represented in the art show: Bothell High, Inglemoor High, Juanita High, Lake Washington High, Redmond High, Edmonds Community College, Everett Community College, Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Shoreline Community College and University of Washington, Bothell.

Gallery Hours are 1:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. April 10-27 in the Mobius Hall Art Gallery in the Global Learning and the Arts Building.
