Lee Wilson Bothell, whose family founded city: March 20, 1918-May 15, 2010 / Obituary

Lee Wilson Bothell died May 15 in Concord, Calif. He was 92.

A native of Bothell, which his family founded, he lived in Concord for the past five years.

He retired as a commanding officer after a 38-year career with the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was a third-degree Mason, an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling and his family.

He is survived by his son, Rex Bothell of Concord; daughter, Pam Egan of Page, Ariz.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Estelle “Bobbie” Bothell, in 1995.

Visitation will take place this Friday and Saturday along with Saturday services at Moore’s Mission Funeral Home in Concord.
