Bothell area resident Vincent DiGiulio and his fellow Royal Arch Masons are men on a mission: help the children.

On Nov. 7, they’ll help sponsor a benefit Broadway-style cabaret show at the Nile Shrine Center, 6601 244th St. S.W., Mountlake Terrace. Eddie Carroll will star as Jack Benny in his award-winning one-man show, “Laughter in Bloom.” The event will begin with a social hour at 5:45 p.m.

“We’ve had positive reactions,” DiGiulio said about planning the event. “We’re trying to get businesses and people interested in supporting (us), getting the word out to as many people as possible, and saying, ‘How would you like to help your neighbor’s kid?’”

The event will benefit the Shriners Children’s Hospitals and Burn Units, the International Children’s Foundation, the North American Disaster Relief Foundation and more.

The Shriners’ no-cost medical screenings are especially important to DiGiulio and company.

“We encourage families to bring kids to the screening clinics,” he said. “If we can help one out of 10, that’s great.”
