Between Sept. 20-28, there were three criminal traffic offenses, one traffic accident, three assaults, one incident involving illegal drugs, three DUIs, three burglaries, eight thefts, six vehicle prowls, two vehicle thefts, nine warrants served and one hit-and-run.

Sept. 20

Drugs: 5:14 p.m., 2000 block of Maltby Road; A Bothell officer responded to reports of a homeless encampment behind the Starbucks and contacted a 38-year-old Snohomish man and a 37-year-old man, a known transient and known heroin user. The second man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sept. 21

Malicious mischief: 2:52 p.m., 2300 block of 20th Ave. SE; A 48-year-old man was cited for malicious mischief in the third degree after threatening to shoot and kill a dog belonging to his neighbor, and then purposely kicking and damaging his neighbor’s fence.

Sept. 22

DUI: 9:42 p.m., 7600 block of SR 522, Kenmore; A 32-year-old man was arrested for DUI and hit-and-run after hitting Subaru belonging to a 35-year-old Edmonds man while driving through Bothell. The man then left the scene and hit a hitting a sign at the entrance to Ivorywood Apartments with his Dodge Ram pickup truck. The Edmonds man followed the pickup to the bowling alley in Kenmore, where the pickup was parked, smoking and leaking fluids, in the parking lot. The Bothell man walked out of the bowling alley as police were arriving, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run and his firearm taken for safekeeping. It took two officers, three nurses and hospital security at EvergreenHealth to get a blood draw.

Sept. 23

Burglary: 3:27 p.m., 9900 block of NE 158th St.; An unknown suspect broke into a storage container belonging to Toll Brother Construction and stole a pressure washer, generator, two power saws, an air compressor, an electric bicycle and a few additional power tools.

Sept. 25

DUI: 2:11 a.m., 22000 block of 17th Ave SE; Officers responded to reports of a driver passed out in a Nissan Pathfinder and arrived to find a 27-year-old man asleep in the back seat of the vehicle with the engine not running and the lights off. A witness stated a man approached the vehicle before officers arrived and pulled the unconscious man from the front seat, placing him in the back seat. Another witness turned off the car and took the keys. The man said he hadn’t been drinking, but failed field sobriety tests and blew a .214. He was arrested for DUI.
