Mayor Baker only council member to face challenger

The King County elections departments have updated their websites for candidate filing and there will be no primaries for the city.

The King County elections departments have updated their websites for candidate filing and there will be no primaries for the city.

The only incumbent to be challenged in the upcoming elections cycle is Mayor David Baker, who will face challenger Bob Black.

“There are many exciting things happening in the city and I want to continue to be involved with the community and serve on the council,” Baker said. “Mr. Black is passionate about his issue and I am looking forward to a spirited campaign.”

Brent Smith (position 1), Milton Curtis (position 3) and Stacey Denuski (position 7) will be running unopposed in the upcoming elections cycles.
