The Museum of Flight is presenting two rocket science-based events at the Kenmore Library on July 24.

From 11 a.m. to noon, the “Yes, It’s Rocket Science” workshop will entertain children ages 5 to 7 by educating them about the history of rockets and how Newton’s laws of motion impact rocket engineering.

Children will be able to design, build and test their own rocket at the event.

This free event does require registration, here, and will be hosted within Room 1 at the Kenmore Library.

The second event, called “Rocket to the Moon” is geared towards children ages 8 to 12 and will be hosted from 1 to 3 p.m. in Room 1.

This workshop will teach students about the Apollo Space Program, how the astronauts traveled through space to the moon and what humanity has learned about space travel since.

Participants will also be able to design, build and launch their own rockets.

Registration is also required for this event and can be completed here.
