As many parents in the community already know, the Northshore Educators Association (NSEA) has approved a plan to walk out and picket the state’s lack of funding for basic education.

The plans for the walk out have been finalized and is as follows:

– Protestors will be gathering at Pop Keeney at 11 a.m.

– From 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m., protestors will march through Bothell to Bothell Landing

– The Bothell Landing rally will start around 12 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes

The protest concerns the lack of state funding for basic education, even after the state’s supreme court McCleary decision holding the state in contempt for lack of funding.

The NSEA is taking part in state wide protests of teachers and parents in opposition of the current state budget’s lack of basic educational funding.

Those gathering in support will be wearing the color red.
