The Northshore Fire Department will be hosting an open house at their headquarters fire station on June 15. The fire station is located at 7220 N.E. 181 St. in Kenmore.

The event will run from 9 a.m. until noon and will include a free pancake breakfast from 9-11 a.m., a health and safety fair and live firefighter demonstrations. An important educational demonstration will be presented that illustrates the dangers of home fires and the life-saving benefits of home fire sprinklers. There will also be an area with activities for kids and an opportunity to tour the fire engine, aid car and rescue truck. The safety fair will include: Bastyr University, Puget Sound Energy, Seattle-King County Health, King County Library and many other exhibitors with valuable health and safety information.
