Samantha Carey, a ninth-grader at Northshore Junior High, is the Washington state winner in the Doodle 4 Google national competition.

This morning, she received her award at a school assembly for her “Tick Tock Oil the Clock.”

Contestants were asked to base their artwork on “If I could travel time, I’d visit …”

The caption for Carey’s art is, “Time has allowed everything to become what it is for better and worse and nobody can change that but there is 86,400 seconds in a day each has possibilities tick tock.”
