Northshore School District will adjust all school start times and implement a high school start time of no earlier than 8 a.m., beginning in fall 2017. Making a change to the high school start time will impact the start time for all other grades because the district’s transportation system is interconnected—a set number of buses transport students by level to/from school using a tiered system.

A task force of parents, staff and community is developing a school start time recommendation for the school board’s consideration, and has launched an online survey to gather input on the considerations it will use as it develops school start time option(s). The survey will run from Jan. 15-29 and is available online at www.nsd.org/sttf. It should take about 10 minutes to complete.
