Northshore School District receives exceptional school bus inspection results

Northshore School District’s transportation department received exceptional results from the Washington State Patrol’s annual inspection of Northshore’s bus fleet.

Once a year, state patrol performs an unannounced 100 percent inspection of the district’s bus and motor pool fleet. According to the state patrol, the results of Northshore’s inspections have been outstanding for the past two years.

“One hundred percent of our buses and most passenger vehicles were inspected,” said Connie Noll, transportation manager. “All vehicles have thousands of moving parts and if there are any worn parts, the repair must be completed before the Washington State Patrol vehicle sticker to transport passengers is issued. Our drivers and mechanics work as a team through the year and always achieve  outstanding inspection results.”

“We congratulate you, your administration and the staff of your transportation department for these outstanding school bus inspection results,” said state Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dorn. “We look forward to your continuing support of student transportation safety.”

Northshore School District maintains a fleet of 136 buses and 20 motor pool cars, which transports almost 10,000 students to and from school each day.
