Northshore School District Board of Directors is hosting a Conversations with the Board event for Spanish-speaking families from 6:30-8 p.m. on June 1 in the Canyon Park Junior High School cafeteria.

This forum, which is designed to allow for two-way conversation in an informal setting, will be conducted entirely in Spanish. Participants will discuss the following:

• As we consider the changes taking place over the next several years (e.g. the opening of North Creek High School, grade reconfiguration and boundary/feeder pattern adjustments), what strengths of the district and opportunities should we be sure to maximize and leverage to make our district even better?

• As we look at the next 3-5 years, what challenges do we face as a school district that should be priorities for our time, attention and resources?

• Knowing that we have many changes ahead of us as we approach 2017, what suggestions do you have for the board to engage the community early in the decision-making process?

Canyon Park Junior High School is located at 23723 23rd Ave. S.E. in Bothell.
