Discussions between four area fire service providers looking into the possibility of creating a Regional Fire Authority (RFA) have been called off after a Feb. 4 vote of the RFA Committee.

The Committee, comprised of the Northshore Fire Department, Woodinville Fire and Rescue, Snohomish County Fire District 10 and the City of Bothell, decided not to pursue negotiations, effectively ending the possibility of a consolidated fire authority in their jurisdictions.

This decision was confirmed by the city of Bothell as well as the Bothell Fire Department and the Northshore Fire Department.
