Overhead lights and traffic signals on SR 522, power to Main Street all out in Bothell

Officials with the city of Bothell are reporting multiple weather-related traffic issues as the third of three weather fronts hit the Nortshore area Saturday evening.

Officials with the city of Bothell are reporting multiple weather-related traffic issues as the third of three weather fronts hit the Nortshore area Saturday evening.

One of the biggest issues the city is facing is a transformer fire on 98th Avenue NE and Bothell Way NE that has been put out but knocked out power to Main Street in downtown Bothell.

There are also power outages reported on NE 175th Street and Beardslee Boulevard, west of 108th Avenue.

The power outages are also impacting traffic on State Route 522 through Bothell, as most traffic signals and overhead lights are out as of 7 p.m.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is reporting two areas with a combined 912 residents without power as of 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Snohomish County Public Utility District (SCPUD) is reporting 300 people without power in the Thrashers Corner neigborhood of Bothell and an aditional 500 in other areas of north Bothell as of 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The Bothell Police Department is urging residents to call the SCPUD to report power outages and call 911 for downed trees blocking roadways or live eletrical wires.

Only 97 residents are without power in Kenmore, according to PSE.
