The University of Washington, Bothell has named professor Peter Littig recipient of the school’s 2009 Distinguished Teaching Award.
Bastyr University’s 11th annual Herb & Food Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 6 on the university’s main campus in Kenmore.

Bothell and Kenmore residents have the opportunity to participate in an internationally renowned cultural-exchange program. Both American students and host families are provided this chance through the Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI). CCI is a nonprofit student-exchange program for secondary-level students from more than 65 countries worldwide. CCI is dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding, academic development, environmental consciousness and world peace.

About 100 friends and family members attended a celebration-of-life event for Bothell resident Kelly Clark last Sunday at Sparta’s Pizza in Bothell. In the midst of the chaos of the last months of school work, college decisions and studying, I managed to flee the country and go on a school trip to Dublin, Ireland, over spring break. The trip was organized by two Inglemoor High English teachers, who have taken a group of Inglemoor students on the same trip to Dublin for eight consecutive years.
