Larceny

Public reports didn’t contain too many details, but said someone gained access to a locked closet where cash drawers are kept in the cafeteria of Bastyr University. The suspects also gained access to a safe, police said. Reports weren’t clear if there was a break-in nor did they state how much money, if any, was stolen.

Oct. 13

Attempted burglary

Someone shattered a sliding glass door on a home in the 14900 block of Juanita Drive. Police reports indicated the incident may have been an attempted burglary, but nothing was taken.

Oct. 11

Vandalism

A rash of tire-slicing reports continued, although fewer incidents reached police. On Oct. 10, tires were slashed on a car parked in front of a home in the 7700 block of Northeast 167th Street. On Oct. 11, vandals struck two cars parked in the lot of the Timbers apartment complex on 68th Avenue Northeast.

Vandalism

Using a golf club, an unknown suspect smashed the window of a truck parked in the 7900 block of Northeast 150th Street. The club was busted along with the window and police said the pieces were tested for fingerprints.

Oct. 11

Theft

A 1992 Honda Prelude was stolen from the lot of a complex in the 9500 block of Northeast 180th Street. The car was valued at $1,500.

Theft

Police say a woman left an unidentified store in the 18000 block of State Route 527 with $52 in alcohol concealed in her purse. She was arrested, charged with third-degree theft.

Oct. 7

Theft from vehicle

Thieves punched out the driver’s window of a truck parked in the 17000 block of State Route 522. The thieves took some business-related paperwork, the face plate of the truck’s stereo and an iPod, total value about $800. Damage to the truck was estimated at $1,000.
