Residential burglary

Items valued at $2,248 were missing after someone kicked in the front door of a home in the 22300 block of Meridian Avenue South. The stolen goods included a laptop computer, jewelry, unidentified prescription drugs and at least one credit card. No suspects were reported.

Residential burglary

Public police reports don’t say why, but nothing was reported missing after someone smashed out a bedroom window in an alleged attempt to break into a home in the 100 block 224th Street Southwest. Reports aren’t clear if the would-be thieves never gained entry or were scared off from the scene.

Unidentified prescription pills valued at $150 were stolen when someone again kicked in the front door of a home again in the 22300 block of Meridian Avenue South. Police reports don’t say if the incident and a similar burglary, which happened the same day are related.

Theft from vehicle

A purse, a wallet, some credit cards and a checkbook were the items missing after someone broke out a window and then pried open a door on a vehicle, which had been parked on the street in the 3200 block of 212st Southeast. The stolen items were valued at about $210.

Theft from vehicle

A laptop computer, digital camera and tool kit valued at $1,450 are missing from a vehicle that was left parked in the 11900 block of Northeast 195th Street. Police say the suspect may have gained entry to the car with a slim jim.

Residential burglary

A watch and other jewelry, a TV and cash were taken from a home in the 21600 block of Fourth Avenue Southeast. Value: $1,5000. Police said two windows in the home were broken.

Nov. 4

Residential burglary

Apparently no entry ultimately was gained, but someone bent up a front door and broke glass in the back door of a home in the 1500 block of 81st Place Northeast.

Larceny

Someone made off with a tow dolly parked in front of a home in the 2000 block of 61st Avenue Northeast. The value of the machinery was not readily available in police reports.

Drug charges

Police on patrol say they spotted what they thought was a suspicious car parked near the woodline on the southeast corner of Bastyr University property. Reports say police found a naked man sitting in the car smoking what officers took to be marijuana. Public reports contained no further readily available details. The suspect was charged with misdemeanor possession.

Oct. 31

Arson

Persons unknown apparently set fire to a portable restroom stationed near Kenmore Elementary School on 71st Avenue Northeast. Police did not report the extent of any damage. The fire was spotted after school hours by police on routine patrol.

Loitering/possession

Police spotted what they took to be three persons loitering near the intersection of Northeast 166th Street and 85th Place Northeast. One suspect was arrested for alleged possession of 20.7 grams of marijuana.
