Animal incident

Police reports are somewhat sketchy, but say someone shot a dog, a Pomeranian, which had been left in a vehicle while the female owner was away. The owner reported hearing a popping noise before returning to her vehicle. Police said the dog was bleeding and was taken to an animal hospital. Reports did not state the current condition of the animal. Officials say they have no witnesses to the incident, which apparently took place on 98th Avenue Northeast.

Aug. 8

Residential burglary

Nothing was reported missing, but according to police, a burglar urinated inside a home in the 3300 block of 207th Place Southeast. Reports say police aren’t sure how the perpetrator gained access to the home.

Drug related

A man, 28, was charged with possession of marijuana after what police say began as a routine traffic stop. Reports state the officer making the stop smelled marijuana inside the suspect’s car. The man allegedly had 40 grams of marijuana valued at about $70 in the car.

Motor vehicle theft

Valued at $5,500, a 2000 Dodge Dakota was stolen from the parking lot of an unidentified business in the 17300 block of State Route 522.

Aug. 7

Theft

Police say a woman, 36, walked out of an unidentified business in the 22600 block of State Route 527 with a six pack of beer. She was arrested, charged with theft and driving without a license.

Theft

Police say a woman in her 20s walked out of an unidentified business in the 22600 block of SR 527 with about $25 in beer. On this occasion, no arrests were made.

Aug. 2

Theft from vehicle

A car stereo and some prescription medicines are gone from a car parked in the lot of an apartment complex in the 21600 block of 16th Drive Southeast. No one was arrested, but police described the suspect as a male, 21. The stolen items were valued at $600.

Residential burglary

Golf clubs, a paint ball gun, sports cards and knives are some of the various items missing after a home burglary in the 2100 block of 228th Street Southeast. Total value of the missing goods: $2,000. Reports did not mention any suspects or how entry was gained into the home.

Vehicle theft

A car, make not given in reports, was stolen from the lot of an apartment complex in the 18200 block of 73rd Avenue Northeast.

Aug. 12

Theft

A Giant brand mountain bike valued at $300 was stolen from an apartment complex in the 6300 block of Northeast 181st Street.

Aug. 6

Residential burglary

Details are sparse, but police say someone removed “a large amount” of electronic equipment from an unoccupied home in the 15800 block of 71st Avenue Northeast.

Aug. 4

Vandalism

Reports didn’t contain too many readily available details, but said someone had spraypainted graffiti around Moorlands Elementary School on 84th Avenue Northeast.
