Theft

Police arrested a 28-year-old male for attempting to make off with a case of beer from a grocery store in the 18000 block of State Route 527. Value was given as about $20. The suspect was charged with third-degree shoplifting.

Theft

An unknown suspect ran out of a store in the 18000 block of 120 Avenue Northeast with a chain saw after being approached by a store employee. The suspect disappeared and the value of the item allegedly stolen could not be immediately determined.

Disorderly conduct

Charged with possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and trespassing, a description of he suspect was not included in police reports. Reports did say the suspect was asked several times to leave an area business in the 700 block of 238th Street Northeast. He or she did not leave and police were notified.

Theft from vehicle

An unknown suspect made off with a Garmin GPS unit valued at $218 and left it in a car parked in the lot of a strip mall at 2000 Maltby Road. The thief or thieves smashed out a front passenger window to gain access to the car.

Vandalism

Someone uprooted and destroyed more than 70 plants valued at just over $1,400, part of a landscaping project on the Burke Gilman Trail. The victim was a local landscaping firm. Police did not report having any suspects.

Theft from vehicle

Persons unknown made off with some soccer balls left in an unlocked car parked on the street in the 1900 block of 75th Avenue Northeast.
