Theft
Police arrested a man, 20, for allegedly attempting to shoplift several items from the Safeway store on Bothell Way Northeast. Reports said the man presented some items to the cashier for payment, but had other items hidden on his person. He was charged with third-degree theft, shoplifting.
Theft
Public police reports contain few details, but say a female suspect, 20, somehow defrauded a resident in the 10000 block of 119th Place Northeast of $3,500 in cash. There were no arrests in the case as of early this week.
Motor vehicle theft
A black Nissan Coupe was stolen from a residence on Northeast 189th Street. The car was later recovered by Snohomish county authorities. Police did not say how much damage was done to the car, but did say it was stripped.
Aug. 1
Theft
A bicycle left unsecured disappeared from the front porch of an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Northeast 180th Street. The value of the bike was given as $300.
July 31
Assault
A woman, 48, was charged with fourth-degree assault after an alleged altercation with her husband, 39, at their home on 216th Street Southeast. Police did not report any injuries and released no further details.
DUI
A man, 30, was arrested for DUI after a traffic accident on 17th Street Southeast. The suspect’s car was described as a 2009 Buick, but police gave no other information on the accident or any injuries.
KENMORE

Theft
For what was the second time in a week, a thief or thieves removed the catalytic convertor from a vehicle left in the Kenmore Park and Ride on Northeast Bothell Way.
Assault
Police responded to Evergreen Hospital where the victim of an alleged assault that took place in the city was being treated for a jaw fractured in two places. Another victim was being treated for a possible head injury. Police said both victims were at first uncooperative, but eventually one told police she had gone to a party in the 18000 block of 82nd Avenue Northeast. An altercation erupted. At some point, one of those involved reportedly broke out the windshield on a car belonging to one of the victims, which led to a further confrontation. Police arrested a male suspect, 21, for investigation of assault and domestic violence. Both alleged victims were listed as age 18.
