Theft from vehicle

Persons unknown removed the catalytic converter from a car parked in a lot in the 17000 block of State Route 522. Estimated replacement cost: $1,900.

Theft from vehicle

Usually, reports state someone smashed out a window to gain entry to a vehicle. This time a rear wind shield is what was reported stolen, along with a CD, from a car parked in a lot in the 21600 block of 16th Drive Southeast. The theft took place overnight.

May 8

Car theft

A 1995 Saturn S1 was stolen from an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Northeast 146th Circle. Valued at $2,500, the car was recovered in the same parking lot.

Theft from vehicle

A wallet, iPod, laptop and cell phone all were taken from a car parked in a parking facility in the 18000 block of Campus Way Northeast. Total value of the items was given as $3,180.

Hit and run

Police say the suspect abandoned his car and left on foot after allegedly causing an accident at the intersection of Northeast 190th Street and 68th Avenue Northeast. The driver of the other car involved was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. The suspect later was arrested at an unreleased location, charged with felony hit-and-run and driving without a license. He also was found to have several active warrants issued by Lynnwood police.

Shoplifting

Reports didn’t say what was stolen, but the said the suspect simply picked it up off a counter at Desire Video on Northeast Bothell Way and then left the store. The item was valued at less than $250.

May 6

Residential burglary

According to police, the perpetrators broke a window next to a door, then reached in and unlocked a dead bolt to gain access to a home in the 19000 block of 68th Avenue Northeast. They left with a laptop and a safe containing personnel items and jewelry. No value was given in reports.
