Michael Henrichsen’s Billy Idol Aid raised more than 281 pounds of food and $286 for charity Feb. 24 at the Nectar Lounge in Fremont. With attendance nearing 200 fans, canned food and money was all donated to local charity Northwest Harvest in the name of Idol. Entertainment ranged from live music cover band Rewind to ’80s new-wave DJ Indica Jones. Sponsored by Seattle Weekly, many attendees received free gifts from the Weekly’s street-team prize wheel. A documentary was also filmed for the event to be released later this month on www.PlayMyBirthdayBillyIdol.com.
